Decentralized Mini-Split Systems (Ductless)
The systems, consisting of an indoor fan coil unit and a remote outdoor condenser, come in various design and shapes. Applications include one-to-one and multi-split systems. Decentralized Multi-Split Systems (Ductless)
Consist of several indoor fan coil units connected to one remote outdoor condenser. They are available using any combination of the indoor units listed above as Mini-Split systems. Each indoor unit is connected to an independent compressor, refrigeration circuit and electrical control system, built within a single outdoor unit. On partial loads, the system consumes only the partial energy needed to feed the active indoor units, thus saving electricity. Parker Davis also offers standard and custom-built Multi-Zone systems to match any specific application.
Ducted Central Splits
Most commonly used in single-family homes, ducted systems provide cooling or heating functions from a central location through the ductwork. System consists of a central air handling unit located indoors and a remote outdoor condenser. Air circulates through the indoor unit and is delivered to several locations within the building by the ductwork and attached registers. Mostly preferred in buildings, where ductwork can easily be installed and a fixed temperature is desired throughout. Versions include; cooling only, cooling with electric heat, heat pump and gas furnaces with optional cooling coils.
Central Package Units
Places all the elements of the environmental comfort into one self contained outdoor unit. Since an indoor blower unit is not needed, the operating noise levels are usually lower and valuable indoor space is saved. The air is delivered throughout the building by the ductwork in a way similar to the ducted split system. Installation is simplified since there is only a single component.
